THE AREA

The Area
 
The house is built in Kastri Loutro, a seaside settlement that belongs to the Municipality of Tempi and is 45 km from Larissa and Katerini with very easy access from the National Highway E75.

The beaches of the Municipality with the shallow blue-green waters extend in a radius of about six kilometers to the borders of the Prefecture of Pieria and there are many organized beach spots, three of which in Kastri Loutro are certified with Blue Flags.

The destination combines the quiet area with the crowds places and visitors can enjoy themselves and have fun, in the restaurants and entertainment businesses in the settlement, as well as in nearby seaside destinations such as Neoi Poroi, Platamonas, and Leptokarya where you can find anything else you want.

THE BEACH

It is located just 420 meters from the property and for many years has been awarded with 3 "Blue Flags".
It has shallow waters, with golden sand where children can play safely, while you can gaze at the endless blue of the Aegean.

Platomonas Castle

An imposing, medieval fortress, middle Byzantine architecture of the 10th century the Byzantine Castle of Platamonas. A uniquely preserved Castle dating back to the Frankish era, with the imposing Tower inside, which was a strategic point of control of the passage from Thessaly to Macedonia by land and sea.

Orlias Waterfall

Near... Rema Orlia the paradise of Olympus. According to tradition, the ancient river Elikonas or Orlias "disappeared" from its shame, refusing to purify the Maenades, who wanted to wash their hands there of the blood of Orpheus. Small waterfalls ending in a natural, rock pool of Olympus, which is surrounded by forest and suitable for swimming.

Cave of Agios Dionysios

It is a common sight for tourists of Olympus, as the route that passes through the cave is the most popular path on the mountain. The founder of the monastery of the same name stayed in the cave in 1542

Plastira Lake

The Locals usually call it "the lake of the 4 seasons". Whether snowy or in bloom, the area knows how to seduce visitors and give them beautiful and unique memories

Meteora

Complex of monasteries built on rocks Meteora is a truly stunning location. It is a wonder of nature, a rock formation hosting magnificently built complexes of historic Orthodox monasteries dating back to the 14th century. Meteora is included in the Unesco World Heritage List. A place you should not miss

Nearby destinations worth visiting are the Valley of Tempi with the church of Agia Paraskevi carved into the mountain, the Castle of Platamonas, the Tombs of Philip, Dion, the beautiful traditional villages of Palio Poroi and Palios Panteleimos. Rapsani and Krania Olympou are places where wine of exceptional quality is traditionally produced.

For hiking lovers on mount Olypmus, there are many walking routes associated with the recognized European trail 02. Such beautiful ones along magnificent beeches, or through pines, oaks, waterfalls, monasteries and places to make you relax and assimilate all the natural wealth. Final do not forget to visit the stream of Orlias and the cave of Agios Dionysios.
